About this profile
This is the original jazz decoder. It combines the protein-derived harmonic candidates with a swing rhythm section while keeping chord, bass, melody and percussion on separate MIDI roles.
The selected profile changes the audible scale, pulse, texture and ensemble. It does not change the protein-derived codon levels or structural-neighbour data.
How the parts interact
Adaptive chord translation
The original renderer keeps the warehouse chord's chromatic root, third, fifth and optional seventh intervals.
The source chord is no longer reduced to its root and number of notes. Root, third, fifth and seventh remain separately traceable in the generated mapping metadata.

C major
Positions are measured in cents above the profile tonic. The diagram shows their placement inside one 1,200-cent octave.
Rhythm pattern · Jazz swing
A four-beat jazz frame with the corrected ride/brush skip placement and backbeat emphasis on beats two and four.
Each row is one normalized metrical cycle. A DNA/RNA codon—or a species-aware reverse-translated protein residue—selects exactly one of these four density levels. Brighter, wider blocks mark longer events; the tooltip reports accent strength.
Percussion cycle
The profile uses a 1-bar percussion cycle. Percussion is on by default and can be changed on the generation page.

The MIDI preserves the generated harmony, melody, bass and drum roles; playback quality depends on the installed SoundFont.
General MIDI provides a portable approximation. Registered SoundFonts may improve instrument identity, while downloadable MIDI and mapping metadata preserve the reproducible control data.
